About Us!
What to expect?
If you’ve never experienced a guided fishing day before, there’s no need to feel intimidated.
A common misconception is that guides spend all their time working exclusively with elite anglers—but in reality, much of our time is dedicated to supporting beginners and intermediate fishers.
We take great pride in creating a relaxed, encouraging environment where learning and enjoyment go hand in hand.
Our guides are approachable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping you succeed. You’ll be equipped with high-quality gear and supported by professionals trained to ensure your safety and confidence on the water.
Whether you’re completely new, looking to improve, or already experienced, we invite you to join us and discover some of the UK’s finest fishing opportunities.
What’s Included
We offer guided experiences, on rivers, still waters and new for 2026, on salt water.
Please note: Our new salt water guided sessions are time sensitive and tide dependent.
We specialise in hunting trout and grayling here in the South of England. Pike and Carp fly fishing sessions can be organised as well as exciting sessions chasing Bass and Mullet on the South Coast.
With each guide hosting up to four anglers to ensure a personalised and attentive service. Prior to your trip, your guide will contact you to confirm all arrangements.
Your experience includes a thoughtfully prepared selection of refreshments, along with premium fly fishing equipment: high-quality rod, reel and line, as well as terminal tackle, indicators, and flies.
We recommend bringing sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and a hat to stay comfortable and protected throughout the day.
Above all, your experience is our priority. From arrival to departure, our goal is simple—to ensure you have an exceptional time and leave eager to return.
The region
The south of England offers a rich and varied experience for visiting fly fishermen, combining historic rivers, diverse fisheries, and some of the finest dry-fly traditions in the world.
At the heart of the region are the famous chalk streams, particularly in counties like Hampshire, Wiltshire, and Dorset. Rivers such as the River Test, River Itchen, and River Avon are globally renowned for their crystal-clear waters, stable flows, and abundant hatches of aquatic insects.
These rivers are the birthplace of modern dry-fly fishing, pioneered by Frederic M. Halford, and they still emphasize traditional upstream presentation to wary wild brown trout.
Beyond the chalk streams, the south also offers a range of freestone and smaller rivers, as well as still waters.
Stillwater fisheries throughout the region cater to those seeking consistent sport, often stocked with rainbow trout and sometimes large specimen fish.
Many are well-managed with facilities for day tickets, making them accessible to visiting anglers without private river access.
Seasonality plays an important role. The traditional trout season on rivers generally runs from spring through early autumn, with prolific mayfly hatches in late spring providing some of the most exciting dry-fly action. Summer brings technical fishing in low, clear water, while early autumn can offer excellent conditions before the season closes.
Overall, the region appeals to both purists seeking classic dry-fly fishing on legendary rivers and more casual anglers looking for variety and accessibility.

Benefits of Hiring a Guide
While guided anglers often enjoy greater success in terms of both size and number of fish caught, the true value lies in what you take away from the experience.
A guided day offers invaluable insight into reading water, refining casting techniques, understanding fish behaviour, and recognising hatches.
Whether you’re new to the sport or looking to elevate your skills,
even a single day with a guide can make a lasting difference.
